WAVE 3 Master Freediver
learn how to equalize below your residual volume to achieve greater depth performances and how to hold your breath for over three and a half minutes.
Course Overview
Wave 3 is where recreational freediving reaches its peak. This third-level Molchanovs certification deepens your understanding of freediving physiology (lung measurements, breathing mechanics, and failure depth) while adding advanced mental techniques like attention deconcentration to your pre-dive routine. In the pool, you'll master dry packing and mouthfill equalisation, and build the breath-hold to hold static for 3 minutes 30 seconds.
In open water, Wave 3 takes you to 34–40 metres in Constant Weight Bifins and Free Immersion, with perfected depth technique, FRC dives, and the ability to safety other freedivers from 20 metres: a mark of genuine competence at depth.
Complete Wave 3 and you don't just finish the recreational pathway, you unlock the next one. Graduates are eligible for the Molchanovs Instructor Course and can progress to the Lap/Wave 4 Competitive Freediving course.
