Course Overview
Ready to start your freediving journey? The Molchanovs Wave 1 Beginner Freediving course is your first step into the world of breath-hold diving and it opens the door to everything that follows.
What you'll unlock:
Qualify as a certified freediving buddy
Train with freediving schools from any agency worldwide
Dive in deep pools
Progress to the Wave 2 Advanced Freediving course
During this course you’ll work towards:
Holding your breath underwater for at least 1 minute 30 seconds (Static Apnea)
Swimming 30 metres underwater on a single breath (Dynamic)
Dive to depths of 12–20 metres in open water using Constant Weight Bifins and Free Immersion
Safely buddy a fellow freediver to depths of 6–10 metres
Perform a freediving rescue at depths of 6–10 metres
What you’ll learn:
Breathing Techniques
Diaphragmatic breathing and breath hold preparation.
Equalisation Methods
Learn the importance of equlization.
Relaxation
Learn to calm your body and mind for deeper, safer dives.
Safety Protocols
Free fall, Buddy systems and rescue techniques to become a safe diver.
Course Schedule:
Day 1 - Foundation
Theory session on freediving physiology, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques. Pool Seesion
Day 2 - Open Water
Your first open water experience. Practice free immersion dives and improve your equalization, introduction to duck dives.
Day 3- Open Water
Continue practicing duck dives and equalization. Practice in safety drills and introduction to no fins dives . Written exams, Ceremony and talk about your first experience and the next steps.

Basic swimming skills and familiarity with the water activities are good to have because will help you to enjoy the course more . But is not mandatory.

All freediving equipment is provided including masks, fins, wetsuits, and weights. Just bring your swimwear, towel, and sunscreen! But if you have your own gear, feel free to bring that along

Absolutely! With proper instruction and safety protocols, freediving is very safe. Our courses follow international AIDA standards with a maximum 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio.
